Johanna Shirt MBACP

I am a warm, friendly counsellor providing a calm space away from the interruptions of daily life. I offer face to face sessions from my dedicated office in Poynton, Cheshire. 
Are you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands? My aim is to help you to deal with difficult feelings. I am passionate about helping people to move forward and lead a more fulfilled life. I can also help build techniques to better manage the emotional stress of everyday being.

CAN TALKING REALLY HELP?

It can be hard to imagine that talking can help, especially when we are experiencing emotional distress. It’s not surprising that we find it hard, we are often brought up to believe that our internal stuff shouldn’t be discussed, that we should ‘get on with it’. Our difficult feeling get pushed down until we just can’t deal with them anymore. 
Talking therapies help you to untangle what’s in there. Giving you an insight that can help you feel more confident and in control.
